My Analysis
In recent weeks, DeepSeek has burst onto the AI scene, making an immediate impact. But what are the differences and performances between the top chatbots (ChatGPT, Gemini, and DeepSeek)? Since this debate could cover countless aspects, I’ll focus on their capabilities in localization and SEO writing.
I tested ChatGPT, Gemini, and DeepSeek by asking them to complete three key tasks essential for my work:
- Generating catchy blog post titles
- Conducting keyword research
- Writing a Persuasive Meta Description
1st Prompt
"You are an AI expert writing a blog article comparing the top AI chatbots: Gemini, ChatGPT, and the newly emerging DeepSeek. Give me three title ideas for my article."
Output:
- Gemini was the fastest to respond.
- DeepSeek included subtitles (not requested, but potentially useful for brainstorming).
- ChatGPT and Gemini provided titles that were more style and relevance aligned with the request, while DeepSeek’s suggestions were further from expectations. A more specific prompt (target audience, tone, etc.) might have improved results.
- ChatGPT and Gemini ended with an open, conversational touch: “Let me know if you need a more technical or engaging tone” or “Feel free to ask if you need anything else.” DeepSeek simply listed the third title and ended there.
2nd Prompt
"Conduct keyword research (including search volume and competition) for an article comparing ChatGPT, Gemini, and DeepSeek."
Output:
- ChatGPT provided 8 keywords, referenced a Reuters article and YouTube videos, and included sources for the suggested keywords.
- Gemini suggested 5 primary, 5 secondary, and 5 long-tail keywords. It also provided additional SEO recommendations, including article structuring and useful tools (SemRush, Ahrefs, Google Keyword Planner).
- DeepSeek listed 3 primary, 3 secondary, and 3 long-tail keywords, also recommending SEO tools like SemRush, Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, and AnswerThePublic.
- All three highlighted “ChatGPT vs Gemini vs DeepSeek” as a medium-to-high search volume and high-competition keyword.
- DeepSeek suggested “best chatbot 2023” as a high-value keyword - outdated and practically useless. In contrast, ChatGPT suggested “best chatbot 2025” (medium-high volume), while Gemini opted for “best chatbot” (high volume).
3rd Prompt
"Now, create a persuasive Meta Description for my article comparing ChatGPT, Gemini, and DeepSeek. Use the keyword: best chatbot."
Output:
- ChatGPT and DeepSeek provided a single Meta Description.
- Gemini offered five variations, emphasizing different angles (benefits, urgency, problem/solution, authority).
- I deliberately avoided specifying a character limit (Meta Descriptions should stay within 160 characters) to test their capabilities. DeepSeek returned a 270-character description - way too long.
Conclusions
The battle between ChatGPT, Gemini, and DeepSeek is far from settled. However, based on this analysis, we can highlight some key takeaways:
- Gemini excels in speed, completeness, and providing relevant SEO insights.
- ChatGPT shines in result accuracy and a more human-like approach.
- DeepSeek struggles to keep up, showing some gaps in data freshness and execution.
What Do They Say About Themselves?
I asked all three chatbots to write a conclusion for this post.
- ChatGPT gave a balanced response, positioning itself and Gemini as strong allies.
- Gemini confidently declared itself the winner while acknowledging ChatGPT as a solid choice.
- DeepSeek admitted it didn’t meet expectations but emphasized its creative potential. It didn’t declare a winner.
